Course Overview
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader.
Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical, and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
Course Description
This program will provide the individual with a flexible career pathway in the role of a project manager. Project managers are highly in demand across different sectors and industries, in particular construction, mining, production, and research and development. The course is designed to provide employment opportunities in a variety of supervisory or management positions such as:

- Project Coordinator
- Project Management Consultant
Students will need to complete 8 core units and 4 elective units of competency to attain the qualification.

Entry Requirements
Age Requirements
All international students must be at least 18 years of age or above at the time of the course commencement to study at Zenith.
English Language Requirements
Satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills and obtain a Level 4 in Literacy and a Level 3 in Numeracy in the LLN assessment (such as BKSB English and Maths assessment) to undertake this course; or candidates are mature age and have sufficient work experience and life experience to successfully undertake the course.
OR
Successful completion of 8 weeks of General English at Upper-Intermediate level or equivalent.
OR
Progression from a Certificate IV level course
Academic Requirements
Have completed year 12, or equivalent;
OR
A qualification at Certificate IV level or higher;
OR
2 years of relevant industry experience in a role that requires managing teams, time, scheduling, or work allocations.
Students must have access to (on and off-campus);
- Working computer with Microsoft Office (2009 or later)
- Access to the internet
- Access to a smartphone, video camera, or web camera
Pre-Training Review
All students are required to undertake a pre-training review that aims to identify their training needs through questions on previous education or training, the relevance of the courses to the learner, and relevant experience.
